I am so excited to be in the kitchen with Tillamook celebrating National Cheddar day! I really wanted to come up with a recipe that would do cheddar proud. And if you like crunchy, creamy, melty, gooey and tangy, then you’re pretty much going to want to be my best friend! Grain Free Nacho Bar!
It’s simple, easy to do everything ahead of time and you won’t be missing out on anything because the combination of crunchy crisps, melted Tillamook Cheddar and fabulous toppings make this recipe a home run.
I love Tillamook because they are a farmer owned and farmer led dairy co-op. They keep it real, old school and modern. Their milk is from cows never treated with hormones and their cheese takes ordinary food over the top to extraordinary!
Grain Free Nacho Bar with Tillamook Cheddar
- Pork Roast (click here for the recipe)
- Sweet Potato Crisps (click here for the recipe)
- 1 pound grated Tillamook Cheddar Cheese
- Jalepeno, cut into rounds
- Marinated Red Onions MAGIC ELIXIRS™ (click here for the recipe)
- Pitted olives
- Avocado Crema (click here for the recipe)
- Avocado slices (optional)
- Sour cream
- Tomatillo salsa
Preheat oven to 500°.
To make the sauce – simply mix together equal parts of sour cream and green tomatillo salsa.
On an oven safe pan, place a layer of sweet potato crisps. Sprinkle generously with Tillamook Shredded Cheddar, top with jalepenos and cook for two minutes, until cheese is bubbly and melty.
Remove from the oven and top with shredded pork, Marinated Red Onions, olives, avocado crema and avocado slices. Drizzle with sour cream sauce.
