Note: This is just a framework for Macaroni and Cheese. You can add more cheese, cream, meat, or whatever you like to vary the recipe to your taste. This is a guide, not a recipe–but it’s what I look at every time I make it.
1 lb. noodles
3/4 lb. of sharp yellow cheddar cheese
1/2 cup cream
salt & pepper
Cook 1lb. of noodles. Barely rinse. Toss with cheese, salt, pepper and cream. Pour noodles and cheese into a dish and top with more grated cheese if desired. Bake for 30 minutes at 350.
Variations I like to add just before putting in oven:
Ham chunks sautéed in a bit of butter, tablespoon of smoked Paprika
