Herbed Mayo

Description

An easy way to elevate your ingredients is to make a herbed mayo spread. It will significantly dial up the flavor of your sandwiches.


Ingredients

  •   1/2 cup mayo
  •   1/3 cup chopped chives
  •   ¼ cup chopped parsley
  •   ¼ cup chopped basil
  •   ¼ cup greek yogurt
  •   2 tablespoons lemon juice
  •   Pinch of salt
  •   Pinch of pepper
  •   Scant ¼ cup thinly sliced green onions, optional but recommended

Instructions

  1. Put all of the sauce ingredients in a mini food processor and blend until well combined. If you’re using a traditional blender, double the ingredients so that it blends well as a single batch won’t properly blend.
  2. If you’d like to go an extra step, I like to add some sliced green onions after blending and stir it all together. Optional but highly recommended!
  3. Store in a air-tight jar in the fridge for up to a week.

Notes

This herby mayo is really customizable to whatever herbs and spices you have on hand. We’ve also made a vegan version by swapping out the mayonnaise with vegan mayonnaise and swapping the greek yogurt with coconut yogurt – delicious!
