Description
This weeknight beef stir fry is ready in 20 minutes and is perfect for quick, easy and delicious eating!
Ingredients
For the Stir Fry Infuser:
½ cup plus 1 tablespoon coconut aminos
¼ cup plus 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
1 tablespoon hot sauce
Juice from 2 tablespoons grated fresh ginger
1 teaspoon minced garlic
For the Stir Fry
1 teaspoon Kosher salt
¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 (½ pound) Porter Road Flat Iron Steak
2 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil, divided
1 cup chopped broccolini (florets and stems chopped into ½ inch pieces—Be sure to cut off the woody ends.)
1 cup sliced yellow bell pepper (thin strips about 1 ¼ inches long)
½ cup sliced green onions (½ inch long pieces, cut on the bias)
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds, plus more for garnish
Instructions
In a medium bowl, mix the coconut aminos, vinegar, hot sauce, ginger juice, and garlic until thoroughly combined. Set aside.
Season the steak on both sides with salt and pepper.
In a sauté pan over medium high heat, heat up 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Cook the steak until browned and crispy on one side, about 3 ½ minutes. Flip and continue to cook until the other side is golden brown, about 3 ½ minutes. A total of 7 minutes. Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest.
While the steak is resting, carefully wipe out the pan and heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil, still over medium-high heat. Add the broccolini, bell peppers and green onions, and cook for about 1 ½ minutes. Then add the garlic and the sesame seeds, stir to combine and cook for about 30 seconds. Add 2 tablespoons of the stir fry infuser and stir to combine. Turn off heat.
Thinly slice the Flat Iron Steak. Place the steak on top of the sautéed vegetables and top off with more sesame seeds. Delicious over a bed of with rice, cauliflower rice or your favorite gluten free noodle. Serve with extra stir fry infuser sauce and enjoy!
Notes
Note: Store the leftover stir fry infuser in the refrigerator and use it in your everyday cooking. Splash it over some rice, sprinkle it over vegetables – I even like it on top of a hamburger!
