When asked to partner with thefeedfeed & Telula, it was a natural fit for me. I’m an avid juicer and in a long term relationship with healthful, real food. Plus, I was delighted with the opportunity to create an ‘adult beverage,’ using Telula. In addition to being organic, Telula is cold-pressed, which means the juice is squeezed using a press, rather than blades (which cause breakdown of nutrients by exposing them to additional heat and oxygen).  Even better, the bottles of Telula are shelf stable until open, meaning you can store them right in your pantry until ready to use. So the juice lasts longer, but it also means I’ll be able to send some to my daughter in college, without fear of it spoiling in transit.

After trying a variety of the Telula organic, cold-pressed juices, I’ve fallen for the Spicy Lemon flavor.  However,  Telula is available in 10 different varieties with 4 of them having Chia Seeds, meaning there is a flavor for everyone!

If you are like me, you prefer a lighter cocktail, so you can enjoy your company without losing your head – thus, the inspiration for the Breezy Afternoon. When you start with quality ingredients (cold-pressed, organic Telula, blackberries, coconut water & rum), you can feel great about sharing it with friends, rather than offering a sugar-laden mix. This recipe makes use of coconut water in the form of ice cubes! If you’ve never made them, give it a try; they’re a lot of fun to have around. Let me know what you think when you try them!

Processed with VSCO with f1 presetWhether using them to enhance your everyday health or creating a cocktail to enjoy on a summer day, these organic, cold-pressed juices are a welcome addition to any kitchen!

Telula is available at a variety of national retail locations, including: Target, Whole Foods, Publix and Kroger – and, if you act fast, you can save 20% on all Telula purchases using the Target Cartwheel App!

This drink is perfect for summer sipping! It’s easy to make, light, and absolutely refreshing. Trust me, you’re going to want to drink it all summer long.

Ingredients

  • 1 Pint Coconut Water (any brand works)
  • 8 Blackberries (6 for drink, 2 for garnish)
  • 3/4 oz white rum (or whatever kind of rum you have on hand)
  • 3/4 cup Telula Spicy Lemon
  • lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

Pour coconut water into a standard ice cube tray and freeze 12-24 hours prior to making the recipe to create coconut water ice cubes.

Muddle 6 blackberries in the bottom of your cocktail glass. Add 3/4 oz rum. Stir to combine.

Fill the cocktail glass with your coconut water ice cubes. Pour in 3/4 cup Telula Spicy Lemon (can be adjusted up or down depending on your preference).

Place 2 blackberries and a lemon wedge on a cocktail stick and place on top of the glass to garnish.

Mocktail Version: Replace the rum with 1/2 a cup of sparkling water and stir.
