Tuna Treasure

Ingredients

1 pound fresh tuna, cut into ½ inch cubes

¼ cup coconut aminos

3 green onions, chopped

1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil

2 tablespoons sesame seeds

2 tablespoons macadamia nuts, finely chopped and divided

Crushed red pepper, optional

4 avocados, cut in half

Variation for two

¼ cup coconut aminos

2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil 

1 pound sushi grade tuna, cut into cubes

1 avocado, sliced into crescent moons

2 small Persian cucumbers, thinly sliced 

Beautiful greens, optional 

2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds

2 tablespoons macadamia nuts, finely chopped and divided

Crushed red pepper, optional

Marinated Red Onions Magic ElixirsTM


Instructions

In a large bowl, add the tuna, coconut aminos, green onions, and toasted sesame oil, stirring to combine.  Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

When ready to serve, cut the avocados in half, squeeze lemon juice to keep from browning, then fill the tuna mixture. Top with sesame seeds, macadamia nuts and crushed red pepper.

Variation for two: 

Mix the coconut aminos and sesame oil together. Pour over the tuna and gently toss.

 

Build a bowl with beautiful greens as the base, half of the tuna, half of the avocado, and one of the cucumber. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, macadamia nuts, and red pepper flakes. Top with Marinated Red Onions. Serve.
